Watch: The Quickest and Easiest Way to Edit Clips to Music (Seriously)

This technique will basically let you do an hours-long job in mere minutes.

Editing is a long, drawn-out process that takes days, weeks, and even months to do, and yeah, there are many different ways to shave off your work time by making your workflow more efficient, but for the most part, you’re in it for the long haul. That is unless you’re wanting to edit clips to music. Usually, the process of matching up your clips to the beat would take hours, requiring you to zoom in close to your audio waveform, pinpoint each peak, and then snap every clip to those exact places on your timeline. This was painfully tedious, but in this video, Peter McKinnon shows you a freakishly fast way to edit your footage to music in Adobe Premiere Pro.

‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ Clips Tease the Wild, Vibrant Sci-Fi Adventure

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets Clips

Arriving later this month will be a brand new sci-fi adventure from director Luc Besson, the filmmaker behind The Fifth Element, and some new clips from the film have just arrived to show off the lush, diverse alien universe from the movie.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is based on an acclaimed, beloved graphic novel set in the 28th century, where a city called Alpha has a massive metropolis of species from across the universe. One of the new clips gives us a proper introduction Alpha and some of the unique aliens who inhabit the city while the rest offer up some of the exciting action we’ll see Dane De Haan (Chronicle) and Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad) partaking in.

Watch the Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets clips down below.

The above clip is easily the most fascinating since it gives us a bunch of information about the city Alpha. There are almost 30 million beings in Alpha with 3,236 species accounted for. Since we only get to spend a couple hours in this world, we’ll probably barely see 1% of the aliens who live in Alpha. We’ll be able to find out more about this massive city when the opening scene from the movie, that details the creation of Alpha plays before Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Meanwhile, the rest of the clips you can find below showcase a couple of the more exciting sequences and a couple not-so-exciting sequence. You get to see Dane De Haan barreling through some interesting sci-fi landscapes, and he also makes a daring escape  with Cara Delevingne from some kind of angry creature. Meanwhile, another clip shows the playful dynamic between De Haan and Delevingne’s characters while another has the latter interrogating a trio of aliens about Valerian’s whereabouts.

The world in which Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is set seems like the most interesting part of the movie. Our own Peter Sciretta said the first half of the movie is “visually stunning, gleefully inventive, unpredictable and bonkers insane” complete with a bunch of unique creatures and settings. Angie Han also noted the film’s “inventive world-building and some awesomely unique set pieces” so at least we know it will be visually pleasing, even if it sounds like the story leaves something to be desired.

In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha—an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. There is a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets will arrive in theaters on July 21.

Someone mashed up the ‘The Last Jedi’ trailer with clips from ‘The Force Awakens’

TwitterFacebook

Right, so you’ve had two days now to watch The Last Jedi trailer on a continuous loop and dissect every single detail and try to extrapolate plot and character details.

Our own Star Wars expert Christ Taylor noted similarities between this new trailer and scenes from trailers and teasers for The Force Awakens

Someone — specifically, YouTube user Morphin Bad — has actually gone to the trouble of putting together a clip reel that shows us those visual comparisons so we can soak them in with our own eyes.

As The Last Jedi trailer unspools on the right, clips mostly taken from The Force Awakens‘ teasers and trailers (with a handful of exceptions taken straight from the film), have been edited together and presented on the left.  Read more…

Inner Demon Releases Two New Clips

Inner Demon

Australian horror film Inner Demon hits digital next week from Terror Films

Terror Films is set to release Aussie shocker Inner Demon across multiple digital platforms on Friday, April 21.  The film’s official poster and trailer will debut next week. However, Terror Films have released two exclusive clips for the fans and you can watch them now at the base of this news item.

Ursula Dabrowsky’s Inner Demon tells the tale of teenager Sam (Sarah Jeavons) who manages to escape with her young sister from a deranged serial killer couple (Kerry Anne Reid and Andreas Sobick). Unfortunately, a cabin in the woods, that she hoped would be a safe house, turns out to be even more harrowing and dangerous than her initial entrapment by her captors.

Shot in Australia, Dabrowsky chose the perfect setting in the city of Adelaide where a real-life string of serial killers and demented murders earned it the nickname “the murder capital of Australia.” She also proves, with this disturbingly crafted indie film, that dark and twisted thoughts can flow as eloquently from the minds of female filmmakers, too.

Distributed by Terror Films, Inner Demon played at A Night of Horror International Film Festival winning “Best Australian Feature”, “Best Australian Director” for Ursula Dabrowsky and “Best Female Performance” for Sarah Jeavons.

As part of their new World Wide digital release model, Terror Films will make the film available in the U.S., Canada and Australia as well as multiple territories throughout: Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Ireland, Israel, U.K. and Pan Russia with plans to expand based on the film’s success. The film will be available on iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play/You Tube, Sony PSN, X-Box, Vudu, Steam, Vimeo On Demand, Roku (Free Flix Tonight, 24 Hour Movie Channel, Free Grindhouse Flix Tonight), I Bleed Indie and Tubi TV.  At a later date the film will also be released on iFlix expanding the film’s reach into countries such as Latin America and Pacific Islands.
